EWS AINSA
THIS WEEKEND BOASTED A BIG WIN IN THE BOOKS FOR RICHIE RUDE AND THE YETI/FOX FACTORY TEAM IN AINSA. THE DRY CONDITIONS WERE PRIME FOR GOING FAST. WINNING 4 OF 7 STAGES, RICHIE DOMINATED THE TOP SPOT WITH AN ASTOUNDING EIGHT-SECOND WIN.

Richie Smash is back. The Yeti/FOX Factory Team lead rider was all domination this weekend. On Day 1 he put twelve seconds into the field and followed up on Day 2 winning the race by eight seconds. It’s difficult to say where the motivation came from – dry conditions that are Richie’s style, Martin Maes’ always looming in the background ready to take the win, or riding for his mentor and close friend Jared Graves. Richie raced pinned and laid it all on the line against the knife-edge rocks and loose track conditions in Ainsa, Spain. This is the kind of motivation and momentum Richie needs going into the familiar territory for Round 8 in Finale. Those margins of victory seem to be a trademark for Richie this year, boom or bust. With one race to go, it looks like he is set to boom.
