Leogang, Austria

Dry and fast — Leogang’s Downhill conditions held steady from practice through race day, but the track still demanded everything from the field. The margins were razor-thin, and the competition left no room for error. The top 10 men were separated by just two seconds, and the Junior Men saw a new winner emerge.

Tyler Waite and Jonty Williamson rode strong and consistent, finishing 5th and 10th in Junior Men. Camille Balanche held her own in a stacked Elite Women’s field, taking 7th. Richie Rude unfortunately missed the cut in one of the most competitive DH fields we’ve seen yet.

It wasn’t the weekend we hoped for in DH, but with this level of competition, there’s everything still to play for.

"Leogang went well overall, even though flat-out tracks aren’t usually my strength. I pushed to be faster from day one and was stoked with third in timed training and 15th in qualifying. I kept trying to adapt as the pace picked up and made some changes to the setup, which taught me a lot. In the final, I had a few close calls but managed to keep it upright and finish strong. It was a valuable learning weekend, and I’m looking forward to carrying that momentum into the Val di Sole / La Thuile  tracks that are a bit more technical and suit me well."
Camile Balanche
"Another tough weekend getting back into the rhythm of DH racing. I struggled to get up to pace quickly on a track I hadn’t ridden in a while, but it was a great opportunity to work on setup — especially with how fast, rough, and precise the course needed to be. With only a 2.5-second spread to qualify, every bit counts. I made the most of it by walking the track with the juniors after qualis to help find some extra speed. Onward to Val di Sole — and searching for more pace in Schladming."
