Leogang
Leogang, Austria
Leogang kept riders guessing all week. What started as dry, fast practice conditions flipped to slick and unpredictable by Enduro race day. Traction disappeared, and the battle quickly shifted from speed to survival. Just staying on the bike felt like a win.
“The Enduro World Cup in Leogang is always a welcome stop on the calendar. I really enjoyed this race and liked the good vibe there. The training day was sunny, with great training conditions, and it was a lot of fun. However, everything changed on Sunday. A very rainy race is definitely not what I wished for. Muddy conditions aren't my favorite, and I knew it would be a very tough day. I tried to wear good clothing to stay dry and warm, as it's essential to feel comfortable in such weather conditions. Every run during the race was full of mistakes, and I was so close to crashing a few times. Despite that, I reached the finish line without any significant mistakes. This race was one of the hardest due to the weather conditions, and I was so exhausted afterward. I was also happy to be on the podium; finishing the race in 3rd place under such conditions feels like a big achievement for me, and I'm stoked to keep the overall lead after round four. So yeah, I'm trying to prepare for the next stop in Val di Fassa and keep this going."Sławomir Łukasik
Sławomir Łukasik extended his podium streak with another 3rd place, holding onto the overall leader’s jersey heading into the next round. Lacey Adams dominated Junior Women once again, taking the top step and retaining her jersey as well. George Swift charged to an impressive 6th place in Elite Women, while Chloe Bear backed it up with 3rd in Junior Women.
We didn’t take Team of the Day, but we’re still leading the overall Enduro team standings — and we’re only halfway through the season.
“Honestly, it was a really hard day for me. I felt I was riding well, but I kept just getting excited and crashing. Conditions where super tough, but I’m happy to be healthy and definitely ready for some time off.”JT Fisher
"Last week was super dry and fast, but this race wildt. I just focused on keeping it upright, so I’m really psyched to come away with the win. Conditions changed a lot from practice to race day; it turned into a full-on mud fest out there. I’m heading to Morzine to get some laps in and rest up for round five."Lacy Adams
"Leogang was a really successful weekend in a lot of ways. I was a little nervous about the rain because the tracks are pretty gnarly, but on race day I decided to just take it stage by stage and go with the flow—and I ended up having a ton of fun. It was definitely one of the most fun races I’ve had all year. A big highlight was getting a stage win on my favorite stage, which really played to my strengths. I went in with a good mindset and took advantage of it. I also hit some personal goals and felt like I was really dialing in my process. I’m super stoked to come away with a stage win, a second place stage, and another podium. I’m hoping to carry all that progress into Canazei!"Chloe Bear
"Overall, I was really happy with how I managed the conditions. I focused on taking each stage as it came, making time where I could and staying smooth through the sketchy sections. Stages one and two felt great — they were longer and suited my style. I made a mistake on stage three and lost a bit of time, but five and six went well, and I managed to get through the bottom of stage four clean. The tracks were gnarly, but I stuck to my plan and rode smart, which was my main goal for the weekend."George Swift
