Guide/Adventure

Euan Wilson has spent the last twenty years crafting the the worlds most desirable mountain bike vacations around the globe for his company H+I Adventures. "I have been riding a bike for as long as I can remember, watching the world go by as I rode everywhere - rain, hail or shine - I guess not much has changed in the past 30 years...

I have been fortunate to travel to most corners of the globe in search of adventure, video and photo stories and crafting adventures for people. Trying to make their experience perfect, compared to the 8 hour hike a bikes and suspect food we sometimes have to eat on our planning trips, its all in the planning!

Yeti bike of choice - why?
Can I choose 2? SB120 and SB160. Both complement me as a riders and span both parts of my riding life. SB120 covers me for mile munching mountain days, and the SB160 takes on the more enduro style riding that the 'youth' have been skooling me on for a few years now.
What is your first memory on a bike?
My sister running behind me and shouting "I am going to let you go!", and speeding up down the street at what felt like 100 miles an hour, then thinking, "How do you stop this thing?". We hadn't got the that lesson yet...
Best feeling on a bike?
When you do a move that feels like you imagine it feels when a PRO does it!
What is your biggest source of inspiration outside of mountain biking? Why?
Art and design. Nothing worse than a badly design object, or piece of art that doesn't quite hit the mark!
A word of advice to the groms
It's all in the planning!
Speed or Style
What are they? Can't say I have found those yet!
Top 3 riding destinations?
Nepal - One of the first places we created a world wide tour, also its the roof of the world, the mountains just don't get any bigger. Bhutan - Again on the roof of the world, but also surprisingly different riding from Nepal and really grasp the new "enduro" style of riding and my SB160 Italy - Trail diversity from the Dolomites, to Tuscany to Finale. And did anyone mention the food and wine?
Anything else you would like to include?

I have gone light on this build, well light for Scottish riding. Four pot brakes, 20mm riser, a slightly shorter stem with an enduro saddle. Scotland is just a little technical and natural, so a full all out light build would just be too punishing around here. The enduro saddle comes about because its the same saddle I use on my SB160 Enduro bike, and my rear end is used to it!
