Mont Sainte Anne, Canada

The final weekend of UCI World Cup racing at Mont-Sainte-Anne brought everything we love — and sometimes hate — about this iconic track. Unpredictable weather, fresh course updates, and all the highs and lows that come with closing out a season on one of the sport’s toughest stages.

The week started warm and sunny before a heavy downpour gave the track a perfect reset. Cooler temperatures and a touch of morning frost added moisture and grip, setting up near-perfect race conditions by the weekend. Riders were stoked on the course changes — faster and smoother in sections, yet still every bit as technical and demanding as Mont-Sainte-Anne is known for.

Richie Rude came into the week freshly cleared from concussion protocol — just in time to get back on the bike. Having never missed a World Cup race due to injury, he was determined to keep that streak alive. While qualifying didn’t go exactly to plan, Richie was simply grateful to be back racing and healthy to close out the season strong.

Camille Balanche spent much of the week working through setup changes during practice. By qualifying, she had things dialed and put down a great run that had her excited for finals. Unfortunately, a crash in the technical rock section ended her race early. Thankfully, she walked away with only a few cuts and a black eye — not the ending she hoped for to cap off her downhill career, but her pace before the crash showed her race-craft, composure, and undeniable speed.

Tyler Waite, in his second year on this track, was confident and composed. After a conservative qualifying run to play it safe, he went all-in for finals and laid down a blistering run. Despite battling mechanical issues mid-course, he held it together for an incredible 2nd-place finish — a gritty and impressive performance under pressure.

Jonty Williamson, in his first year as a junior and first-time racing at Mont-Sainte-Anne, showed steady progress throughout the week. Once he found his rhythm, he picked up serious time in finals and secured a well-earned 3rd place for his debut on one of the most challenging courses of the year. Landing Yeti / FOX two riders on the Junior men’s podium.

The team wrapped up the season with a top-10 overall finish in the team standings and several individual milestones — including Tyler finishing 3rd overall in Juniors and Jonty 5th overall in his rookie season. Between podiums, recoveries, and farewells among riders and staff, the energy in the Yeti pits was that of celebration and gratitude.

Thank you for a great season, and we’ll see you in 2026.
